A PROPOS DE PILOT - NAMIKI ?

La societe “Pilot” a ete fondee par Erich Drafahl et Ryosuke Namiki en 1918 sous le nom de “Compagnie Industrielle Namiki”.

 En 1938, le nom de la compagnie change pour “Pilot Compagnie”.

C’est le plus grand fabricant au japon, et compte plusieurs filiales dans le monde entier ( Royaume Uni, France, Allemagne, Bresil, Malaisie,…).

Les stylos plume Namiki utilisant l’art du Maki-e (laquee) sont fabriques dans la celebre usine de Hiratsuka.

Les stylos de haute gamme Namiki sont issus des collections “Empereur”, Yukari Royale” et “Yukari”.

Pilot a recu la permission de pouvoir mettre en vente ces fameux stylos Namiki dans le monde entier.

En 1964, la societe “Pilot” presente sa premiere collection, “Capless”, litteralement “sans capuchon”. Une revolution pour une collection pas comme les autres. Sa caracteristique principale est la possibilite de retracter entierement sa plume a l’interieur du stylo meme.

La collection “Capless” sera reintroduite en 1972 sous le nom de “Vanishing Point” (point de fuite). 2 ans plus tard (1974), la celebre collection “Custom” voit le jour. C’est pour cette raison que le premier modele “Custom” se nomme “Custom 74”.

ABOUT PILOT - NAMIKI

The Pilot Pen Corporation was founded by Erich Drafahl and Ryosuke Namiki in 1918 under the name of the Namiki Manufacturing Company.

In 1938, the name of the company changed to the Pilot Pen Co.

It is the largest pen manufacturer in japan, and has a large of subsidiaries throughout the world (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Brazil, Malaysia,…)

Namiki, the fountain pens with Maki-e lacquering designs, are made in the famous Hiratsuka factory.

Namiki higher ranges include the Emperor, Yukari Royale and Yukari, and this is the brand used by Pilot to sell their the high valued Maki-e pens  all over the world.

In 1964, Pilot Corporation introduced the Capless collection. Unlike other fountain pens. The pilot Capless featured a fully retractable nib.

The Capless was later reintroduced as the Vanishing Point in 1972. 2 years later (1974), the famous Custom collection was found.

That’s why the first Custom model’s name is “Custom 74”.

PILOT AND NAMIKI FOUNTAIN PEN’S COLLECTIONS ARE ABSOLUTLY DIFFERENT.
