Vendeur: raymondf64 (1.178) 98.2%, Lieu où se trouve: Caerphilly, Lieu de livraison: GB, Numéro de l'objet: 142175846611 YOU ARE BUYING 10 PACKETS 0F 50 GRAMS PER TRAYS = 1 BOX WHICH IS ENOUGH TO TREAT 5 HIVE.....All NEW STOCK THIS YEAR with A use by dates of may 2018!! This is the 'go too' treatment for Varroa mites in the UK, in fact it should be seen as the first of several approaches to managing the mite count in a hive - treatment can be started in August but should be completed by the end of October if the weather allows a late application (in the UK this is fine normally). Later applications have the benefit of giving hives a lower Winter mite count, no bad thing but this should only be done if you know your hives have a low count in the first place - if in doubt apply Apiguard ASAP. Ok, so its that time of year again, we use apiguard on our own hives and without fail it assists in the control of varroa mites. If your bees look healthy and they have a low mite count you should still keep up your treatments in order to help bees over-winter well and have a good spring build up. Apiguard is the market leader in the fight against Varroa. The slow release Thymol gel has no harmful effect on the bee colony and can be used with confidence that it will not harm your bees. Apiguard is applied by placing the aluminium tray facing up on top of the brood frames. The thymol gel triggers the bees to start cleaning the hive by removing the thymol gel. The bees remove the gel via the brood chamber, leaving a trail of thymol behind them. This is also cleaned by following bees who spread the thymol throughout the colony. For best results use two applications 14 days apart.Check out my other items! Treatment in the UK can be done at a variety of times over the year but is best done as a winter preperation and started by late September.Check out my other items! THAT i I am listing shop4bees.co.uk Expiry DATE 9/2018 any questions please ring ray on 07968700960 Apiguard is a sophisticated, patented slow release gel that ensures correct dosage of its active ingredient, thymol. Thymol is a naturally occurring substance derived from the plant thyme. Apiguard has no harmful effect on the honeybee colony: neither on brood nor on adults. In regulatory terms, the EC maximum residue limit of Apiguard has been classified as “No MRL necessary” because of its low toxicity and hive residue profile. Once in place, vapour from the Apiguard gel is given off. Unlike some other formulations and raw crystals, the release from the gel works steadily and does not disturb the bees unduly. Worker bees climb into the Apiguard tray, remove the gel as a hive-cleaning behaviour and distribute it throughout the colony. The gel sticks to the bees’ body hairs and, as the bees move through the hive, particles are left throughout the hive ensuring a controlled and even vapour. The worker eventually throws out the gel it is carrying, but the traces remain until they too are removed later. This action has no effect on the honeybee but kills the varroa mite with its vapour. Seven reasons to use ApiguardNatural product Very easy to applyHigh efficiency against three types of hive pest: varroa mites, trachael mites / Acarine and chalk broodUse against varroa mites resistant to pyrethroidsNo withdrawal timeNo risk to users Ideal in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes How to useApiguard is extremely easy to use:Place the opened tray face upwards in the top of brood frames, preferably centred over the colony. After 10 days examine the tray and if it is almost empty, replace with a second tray.If there is product left in the tray after 10 days leave until day 14 and then replace.Leave the second tray in position for a further 2-4 weeks and treatment has been completed (duration of treatment therefore lasts 4-6 weeks).Apiguard works best in temperatures above 15°C. But it is also effective at lower temperatures even though the gel takes longer to evaporate and the gel needs to be left I place for longer. Honey can be slightly tainted by the thyme oil.
