"..It's amazing how it works fine to correctly position the internal flaps, and how it keeps the set pressure constant, even better than the factory control unit. Excellent product I find indispensable in any kind of application..".(from an Italian customer 1/5//17)
INTRODUCTION:
An increasingly popular turbo upgrade involves fitting a variable vane (vnt/vgt) turbo to an engine that never had one and therefore has no means of controlling the vane angle. The commonest types use a vacuum operated actuator, where more vacuum is needed to increase the boost at low rpm, and then this is reduced at higher rpm to prevent overboosting. (some work the opposite way but we can cater for the as well.
It simply plugs into a standard vacuum boost solenoid valve (bcv or in VW jargon. a N75 valve) (not supplied but in stock) such as the ones used on Vauxhalls with a vnt turbo, into the existing map sensor and then a lead supplies power from the battery. (preferably via an ignition controlled source, eg fuel pump relay) You need to tee into the brake servo line to provide the vacuum (tubing and tees included with the versions with N75 valve) and you should also fit a boost gauge (not included).
Due to demand, we've now added an input from your throttle pedal position sensor to allow the boost to be overridden by pedal position. E.g pedal up - very low boost, part throttle, medium boost allowed, full throttle, over boost allowed (if enabled). You can use the unit without this input connected.
SWITCH FUNCTIONS:
3 = TPS boost cancellation on zero throttle.
4 = TPS enabled
5,6,7,8 SELECTS THE ACTIVE BOOST MAP FROM THE 16 AVAILABLE.
1,2 BOOST RANGE FOR LARGE OR SMALL (or weak/stiff) ACTUATORS
Most owners wish to also run a higher boost pressure and this will cause the ecu to cut the fuel and turn on a warning light so we can also recalibrate the map sensor as our standard Digibooster 1 does, to allow more boost without ecu interventions. NB you should fit a boost gauge since the map sensor data via the obd port will not reflect the true boost if the limiter is switched on.
TPS INPUT. (SWITCH 4) All models have the TPS input enabled by switch 4.In many cases its not necessary to connect the tps. If you don't have a tps on your vehicle, the easiest type to fit is the underbonnet remote cable operated type found on Rover 200/400/600/25/45/MG ZR/ MG ZS etc. Simply mount the tps in the engine bay and connect the Bowden cable to the injection pump throttle lever.
TPS boost cancellation (switch 3) This minimises the boost on zero throttle.
SWITCHES 5,6,7,8 are the VANE / BOOST CONTROL MAP selectors. There are 16 settings in 4 bands. The band determines the start position for low rpm boost and the setting within each band sets the high rpm boost in conjunction with a variable max boost control.

OTHER VERSIONS: We also list versions with a boost control (N75) valve included and with a N75 and 3bar pressure sensor included. See item no. 183992349251
On our website we also have a 4bar sensor and TPS available.
FEEDBACK ON A CORSA 1.3 non vnt turbo model. [Also has one of our Synergy 1 tuning module fitted.]
"Hi ron, I've got the Digibooster S on 6 (med/high) and the tuning box on 10, its holding 20-22psi and its still pulling like a train at 4k. I'm really pleased, it goes like a rocket, its hard to believe its only 1258cc. .....I'm really impressed..." Thanks V, its good when things go according to plan! Ron
REMAPPED TD5: "I finally got time to install the unit today and so far so good. Settled on B for now and need to go on a longer run with longer hills etc but I am very happy so far!
Only issue i have now is I will need a 2nd unit for my other TD5 (many thanks for the repeat order, Ron) More feedback
Great product no issues
Good product
Great seller, great product (DGBS on mechanically injected engine)
The DGBS is working brilliantly (TD5)
Great product works a charm on my mk4 golf thanks.
This listing is for the Digibooster S module only and is intended to be used on an engine either with electronic injection, using the existing map sensor OR an engine without an ecu, but you supply your own map sensor. You will also need a boost control valve (eg VW N75 valve) or other vacuum type (not wastegate/pressure type) and tubing. We do include instructions for connecting and adjusting.
Send us a message with your vehicle / engine / turbo details and what boost pressure you are aiming for after buying
WE CANNOT SHIP UNTIL WE KNOW YOUR MAP SENSOR & N75 VALVE TYPE SO WE CAN FIT THE CORRECT PLUGS.
