This comprehensive set of Adapters allows you to carry out Earth Bond, Insulation Resistance and Polarity Checks on regular 13A Extension Leads and also most IEC Supply / Extension Leads you will find around the Office including:

  • Standard IEC Supply Leads (with C13 Connector)
  • Standard IEC Extension Leads (with C13 to C14 Connectors)
  • Kettle 'Hot' Supply Leads (with C15 Connector)
  • Cloverleaf Supply Leads (with C5 Connector)
  • Figure of 8 Supply Leads (with C7 Connector)
  • Computer / UPS Supply Leads (with C19 Connector)
  • 'Hot' Computer / UPS Leads (with C21 Connector)

To Test:
  • Insulation Resistance:
  • Connect the Lead to be tested into your PAT Tester and run your Insulation Resistance Test in the usual way.
  • Earth Bond:
  • Connect the Lead to be tested to your PAT Tester in the usual way and add either of the Earth Bond Adapters, using any appropriate IEC Adapters.
  • Connect your Earth lead to the Binding Post on this Test Adapter (Photos 3 & 5) and run your Earth Bond Test in the usual way.
  • Polarity:
  • Connect the Lead to be tested to your PAT Tester in the usual way and add the 1-Way Earth Bond Adapter if appropriate.
  • Plug a Socket Tester into either the Extension Lead Socket or Earth Bond Adapter as appropriate.
  • Initiate 'Run' Tests on your PAT Tester and observe the Polarity Readings (eg Photo 6).
