Java Moss - Pick your size
Simply pick the amount of moss you require - perfect to start your moss wall or carpet
This will need tying to wood or similar or putting in a mesh to keep it together
Fantastic carpetting plant, that will create amazing 'grass' in your aquarium
Why not add a mesh to keep your moss in place. (note if you select 'wire mesh' you are buying mesh only - you need to add both items if you require moss and mesh)
Even though there are around 135 species in the vescularia genus only a few species can adapt to underwater life. Java moss is one of those species. Java moss is found attached to fallen tree trunks and rocks in humid and moist areas in South East Asia. The irregularly branched stems bear small emerald green leaves in two rows. They are about 2mm long. An undemanding species which will soon form tangled masses on intensively branched stems in the aquarium after a period of acclimatisation.
The moss you will receive consists of loose fronds about 5 to 10mm long (sometimes longer) and will need to be tie to bogwood or put into a mesh to keep it in place in the aquarium until established
If you wish a mesh , then you need to add this as a separate item. Wire mesh is for mesh only, does not contain any plants
(photo one shows an example of the java moss fastened to wood, with a wire mesh. You are buying loose moss only, as in photo 3 (wood and moss not included)
Photo two shows moss on bogwood we have made from the moss we sell. Photo three shows some of our actual moss, you will receive quantity as stated above - you can achieve same as in the photos from the moss you will receive, given correct care and attention) . Photo four shows examples of creations you can make using java moss. Please read carefully:
