Mushroom Spawn Mix ( Pearl, White, Elm and king oyster )

Our mushroom spawn is professionally produced in the UK.

We sell our mushroom spawn fresh so it is ready to use as soon as you receive it. If you are not planning to use it straight away then we suggest you put the spawn in a dark cupboard at room temperature until you intend to use it.

Oyster mushrooms in general are one of the easiest mushroom species to cultivate at home, they are very fast growers, making them resistant to contaminants and can grow on a wide variety of substrates such as Wheat straw (recommended), rye grains, coffee grounds, paper, cardboard, wood chip and most cellulose-rich materials.

 Spawn  Ingredients :  A mix of brown rice flour, vermiculite and water. (1,2,1) ratio

 How to use:   Add spawn to sterilized or  pasteurized    substrate of your choice. 

                         60 grams will  colonize approximately 800 grams of dry wheat straw (3 kg damp).

                         keep  dark and warm until fully colonized then expose to light and create humidity

                        either by spraying with water 2 or 3 times a day or by using perlite.

 Packaging :  Heat sealed packaging with micro-pore vent.

                      Sent in padded envelope.
