For sale is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted nyckelharpa made in Poland in 2022. It is in like-new condition. I purchased it from the maker in 2022. The nyckelharpa is essentially a keyed fiddle. It is of Swedish origin and has a sound much like a medieval violin. This is a chromatic instrument with 29 keys. It has 3 wound steel strings, a solid spruce soundboard and cherry body. The tuning pegs, keys, and and tangents are all hand carved. The strings are equipped with fine tuners at the tailpiece for ease of tuning. It can be tuned to different tunings, but I have it tuned to G, D, A (the bottom 3 strings of a violin). The instrument measures 33 inches long, by 8 inches wide, by 4 inches tall. I am selling this with a bow, leather strap and a handmade, wooden case. I can provide a sound sample upon request. I am offering free local pickup in Buffalo, NY, but will also deliver anywhere in NYS for free. I will also ship the instrument. Please contact me with any questions!
